So today was pretty much our average day.
First was an early wake up this morning for minyan. I picked up bagels, got home. Ariella was awake with her new activity, watching her tv shows. I'm happy to know that there are actually are some tv shows that are safe for children. For us, we've tested Handy Manny, Wiggles, and Disney Mickey Mouse toons.
Anyway, we had some returns and shopping to do with our Sun (ah the excitement of married life, and we're only two years in). So, off to our exciting day.... We took EVA (we affectionately call our Garmin such a name after WALLE.), saddled Areilla in the car in an outfit, in which suprisingly she could move. So, in the car, and we prepare ourselves for the treck to Wayne county. For all reading this (which I don't know who exactly would be interested in doing so), let me describe Wayne. Wayne, NJ, is a wonderful place, practically inaccesible unless one has the patience to drive in circles, for as many times we've been there, we still will take a wrong turn. Then, there's the joy that driving to Wayne teaches defensive driving, and I advise it for any person who has a teenager, and would like to teach them of the evils of the road.
So we finally got to Wayne, went to Macy's and went return and shopping. My excitement was socks, Rachel got some new clothing. Ariella was amazing and stayed relaxed almost the whole time.
Here was the cute thing for the day. So Rachel enjoys a good starbucks now and then, and the cute thing is that somehow she has Pavlovianly trained Ariella to expect cookies each time Rachel buys from starbucks, her treat for behaving. So today, even without Rachel buying with her, as I had Ariella on another floor, my daughter the Starbucks cookie queen, as soon as seeing her mother with the drink, lovingly with her batted eyelashes says "Mah, Mamah" translation for "please mommy make my day and give me the cookie I expect you have". Luckily she did, which I find even more cute. So, the cookie was finished in under two minutes, and of course another was requested. At least for now we have the ability to bribe her, and said the next cookie comes in the car. Luckily we got home with no troubles. That was pretty much the whole day, uneventful but fun as always. For now, I'm watching Handy Manny on DVR with beautiful little blue eyed angel, and she's sitting glued to the TV(Ah how they grow up so fast).
